Today I am coming back to you from Jerusalem. We are ending our fabulous trip and heading back to the States in the morning, but I wanted to wrap up this journey with another lesson about gratitude that I have learned over the past couple of weeks.

A few months ago, our family vacation to Florida was cut short due to a hurricane. It was tempting to be frustrated about ending our trip early but we decided to choose gratitude. Another unexpected twist was that we had to drive back to New York instead of fly. We had a car full of children including my two-year old. However, since we were seeing things through the lens of gratitude we noticed something…

We had a wonderful trip and our children did very well on the long journey. Noticing this gave us the idea to come to Israel as a family and trust that the long travel would not be a strain. We were right! This was one of the best trips back home we have ever had…and it may not have happened without us deliberately shifting our frustration back several months ago in Florida to gratitude.

I share this story with you today to remind you that we have the power to CHOOSE gratitude. It’s natural to be frustrated but remember that gratitude can not only shift our mindset it also has the power to influence our circumstances. Gratitude is dynamic.

We WANT to hear from you! How can we support you? What has gratitude done in your life? Find us in our private Facebook group Hope to Recharge. Because as always…together is better!
