Have you ever had a strong expectation that something was going to turn out a certain way only to be disappointed that it went in a completely different direction? Maybe your hopes were up that something would happen and when it didn’t, you were left extremely frustrated.
In today’s episode I share a new perspective on dealing with change and how we can find gratitude in moments when things turn out differently than what we expect.
This past week, I was in Israel at a Think Tank working on a new product that I am developing. I went into the meetings with a certain expectation of their outcomes and was confident that my ideas would manifest in a certain way. When they did not, I was incredibly grateful because I truly believe things were happening FOR me and were leading me down a better path.
I share with you this story because it is important for us to take a big picture approach in looking at our lives and even the disappointments that we face. Although that may sound like a daunting task, we can slowly develop this mindset through a daily gratitude practice. Gratitude changes us from the inside out!
I hope today’s episode encourages you to shift to gratitude not only when things are going as you anticipated but also when things are difficult and you might be tempted to feel frustrated and down. The more you choose gratitude the more it becomes a part of you. Amazing things will happen for you…when you live a life of gratitude.
We would LOVE to support you and be a part of your journey. Find us on Facebook at Hope to Recharge. Because as always, together is better!
